Prince William to be Patron of the University of St. Andrews 600th Anniversary Appeal

Prince William has become Patron of the University of St. Andrews 600th Anniversary appeal.

The University of St. Andrews 600th Anniversary will span three calendar years from 2011 to 2013. It will mark the formal charter granted by Bishop Henry Wardlaw in February 1411 and the achievement of full university status conferred by Pop Benedict XIII by Papal Bull in 1413.

St. Andrews alumnus Prince William, accompanied by Miss Middleton, also a St. Andrews alumna, will return to the University on Friday 25th February to launch its 600th Anniversary.
