Monaco Royals Suing L'Express

Michel Roger, the head of Monaco's government, has railed against "false" rumours of discord between Prince Albert II and his wife, and said the couple will sue a French magazine for spreading them.

"It is very distressing," Mr Roger, whose official title is minister of state, told journalists of the gossip that swirled around the wedding held over two days in early July.
Rumours that Charlene Wittstock tried to leave the principality in a huff just days before the royal wedding have already been rejected by the palace, a lawyer for the princely pair, as well as by Albert himself.
"They are all false," added Mr Roger.

L'Express magazine had reported on its website that Miss Wittstock, now Princess Charlene, interrupted preparations for the lavish celebrations and prepared to take a flight for her home country South Africa.

Former Greek Royal Palace Up for Sale?

Government proposals to include a Royal palace on Corfu where Prince Philip was born has sparked off a stream of protests from around the country, mostly from residents on Greek islands who object to the sale of national heritage to pay off the country’s debts.

Prince Philip, the Duke of Edinburgh, was born at the residence 90 years ago, according to museum records and residents of Corfu, one of Greece’s most popular Greek islands are up in arms over plans to include the palace in sales from state assets.

PRESS ASSOCIATION -- Zara Phillips and Mike Tindall are starting life as a married couple - by looking forward to returning to work.

The couple celebrated their wedding on Saturday with the Queen and members of the royal family at a lavish palace reception.

But the traditional honeymoon break is being postponed as the newlyweds prepare to return to training this week. Zara, 30, will be competing in the Gatcombe Park horse trials later this week and Tindall, 32, is likely to feature in an England rugby match against Wales next Saturday.

It was a day of big hats at Edinburgh's Canongate Kirk on Saturday afternoon as the couple sealed their love at a private ceremony in front of their families and friends. Zara wore a gown created by the favourite designer of her grandmother, the Queen.

The Wedding of Zara Philiips

EDINBURGH, Scotland (AP) — Queen Elizabeth II's granddaughter Zara Phillips married England rugby star Mike Tindall on Saturday — but Britain's second royal wedding of the year was largely a low-key affair, with only a hint of the glamor and excitement of Prince William's showstopping nuptials.

Phillips, 30, who is 13th in line to the throne but does not use a royal title, and Tindall, 32, were greeted by hundreds of flag-waving well-wishers and the sound of traditional bagpipes as they left their wedding service at Edinburgh's Canongate Kirk following a private ceremony.

The often publicity shy bride wore a traditional ivory silk gown and a full-length flowing veil, but posed only briefly for onlookers — and gave her husband a fleeting, modest kiss — as they left the 17th century church for a reception at the queen's Scottish residence, the Palace of Holyroodhouse.
