BELGIUM: Queen Fabiola Laid to Rest

Belgium laid to rest Queen Fabiola. Her funeral took place today inside Brussels' Cathedral of SS Michel and Gudule.

Besides the Belgian royal family, assorted Habsburgs and other royals and aristocrats, attending were King Carl XVI Gustaf and Queen Silvia of Sweden, Queen Margrethe II of Denmark, King Harald V of Norway and his sister Princess Astrid, the Empress of Japan, King Juan Carlos and Queen Sofía of Spain, Princess Beatrix of the Netherlands, The Grand Ducke and Grand Duchess of Luxembourg, The Duke and Duchess of Castro, and many others.

EUROHISTORY: Issue CII (December 2014) Off to Print!

Usually, our last issue of the subscription year (December) is mailed to subscribers in late January of the following year.

This year, however, we decided to conclude the year early. Doing so will allow our publisher, Arturo E. Beéche, more time to get finished with the three books Eurohistory plans to publish between now and March 2015: Queen Maria Pia of Portugal, The Coronation of Tsar Nicholas II of Russia and Royal Gatherings, Volume II: 1914-1947.

Issue CI is finally ready to be picked up at our printer in Berkeley. However, as we are sending them Issue CII this Sunday, we have decided to mail both issues together.

Inside the envelope subscribers will get will be both magazines. Also, subscribers will receive the Eurohistory Christmas card and the 2015 Renewal Form!

Envelopes will mail to subscribers this coming week, starting Thursday, December 18, 2014!
