According to the Bulgarian press, and to an announcement on the website of HM Simeon II, Tsar of the Bulgarians, he and Queen Margarita, attended the wedding in Istanbul, which wass blessed by a Nuptial Mass. The Turkish bride was previously baptised into the Catholic Church.

  2. After a couple of years from the news I am here by accident.

Just in case someone comes back to this spot: the bride was Catholic... if not from birth, already for many years before the wedding took place. Source: myself... taking care of them (while still engaged) at the Istanbul church where I was serving as a priest.
