"10 Popular Myths about Royalty"

This presentation identifies 10 of the most commonly-heard myths, rumors or misconceptions about royalty, the historical background of these notions, who tends to believe them, what impact they have, the reality behind the assumptions and who tends to believe what. Typical myths to be examined include: ""The Banal, the Boring & the Bourgeois", "Cinderella & Charming", "Decadent Lifestyles", "The Homely, the Frumpy and the Graceless", "Idle Parasites on the People",  "Inbred Idiocy", "Obsolescence and Irrelevance",   and "Tories, Toffs and Prigs", among others. We conclude with an open discussion and specific suggestions for the most effective way to refute or correct inaccurate perceptions about both modern and historical dynasties.
