Windsor: New Birth
Lord and Lady Nicholas Windsor welcomed their third son, LOUIS ARTHUR NICHOLAS FELIX, on May 27', 2014.
MONACO: Princess Charlene is Pregnant!
PARIS (AP) — Prince Albert II and Princess Charlene of Monaco announced Friday that they are expecting their first child, who will be heir to the tiny principality.
The 36-year-old South African former Olympic swimmer and her 56-year-old husband, whom she married in 2011, issued a statement expressing their "immense joy."
The short statement said the birth is expected before the end of the year. Although it did not elaborate, this implies that the princess is at least three months pregnant.
The news is sure to please the palace and end recent tabloid speculation that's dogged Charlene — why, after nearly three years of marriage to Albert, she had not yet provided an heir to the jet-set European principality. Britain's Kate Middleton became pregnant with Prince George around a year and a half after she married Prince William in April, 2011.
Until the baby is born, the throne of Monaco, a tiny fiefdom smaller than New York's Central Park, would pass to Princess Caroline, Albert's older sister. The constitution had been changed to allow Caroline a claim during Prince Albert's tenure because subjects were nervous he wouldn't produce an heir — after years of high-profile rendez-vous with the beautiful and famous, said to include Brooke Shields, Claudia Schiffer and Naomi Campbell.
Albert has already acknowledged two children, born out of wedlock and thus excluded from the succession: his daughter Jazmin Grace Grimaldi, and his son Alexandre Coste.

Russia: Sublime Ridiculousness: Tsar Nicholas III
A Russian monarchist association opposed to Grand Duchess Maria Vladimirovna has chosen new Emperor...
WELCOME TSAR NICHOLAS III (aka Prince Carl Emich zu Leiningen)!
Apparently, these monarchists have chosen Carl Emich as the new Head of the House of Romanov-Holstein-Anhalt-Saltykov-Leiningen, better known as The Russian Imperial House.
I thought, honestly, that I had lived ing enough to witness it all...I was mistaken!

Furthermore, the Prince, sorry, Tsar Nicholas III, has also become a Russian Orthodox!
Can someone please find him a good history book, or better yet, something positive to do in life!

Habsburg: Archduke Karl in San Francisco
On April 30, 2014, HIRH Archduke Karl of Austria gave a speech at the Commonwealth Club in San Francisco, CA.
Archduke Karl spoke at length about his work to protect cultural heritage in war zones and troubled areas of the world. He made special mention concerning the destruction of the cultural legacy in Mali, Libia, Syria, Iraq, Cambodia and Afghanistan, besides the damages suffered by Mostar and Dubrovnik.
He has been involved with an organization called Blue Shield since 2008.The Blue Shield's goal, an organization he heads, is "to work to protect the world's cultural heritage threatened by war and natural disasters." He also spoke about the damages caused by man-made disasters, such as the loss of priceless documents and documents suffered by the Library of Köln when a tunnel being built underneath collapsed.

It was obvious during the speech and the following question/answer session that Archduke Karl has found a true calling in this arena. His passion was obvious and the crowd of several hundred people were positively impacted by his words, deeds and actions.

I had last seen Archduke Karl at the beatification of his grandfather Emperor Karl I of Austria. It was nice to reconnect. I was also able to bring him copies of some of the photos I had taken of him and his late parents, for which he was very touched. He also received several issues of EUROHISTORY containing articles on his parents and grandparents.
