Royals on the "cheap"

The Belgian government has decided to reduce the funds allocated to various members of the country's royal family.

Belgian newspaper GvA (Gazet van Antwerpen) recently reported that the Belgian Royals will receives less money. Only King Albert II will keep the same amount. 

Not so lucky are Queen Fabiola, who will have to do with €20.000 fewer; the Duke of Brabant lost €13.000; Princess Astrid and Prince Laurent both will have to live on €4.000 fewer than in years' past.

Yes...a wonderful decision...let's nickel and dime them...are the Prime Minister and the Cabinet also taking a salary reduction...members of Parliament as well perhaps? One does wonder...
